Personal data is at the heart of the of the GDPR legislation. Personal data in a broad sense is any information that could be used to identify you (such as your name, date of birth, email address, IP address, etc). Often, a single piece of information isn’t enough to identify you but using multiple pieces of personal information could be used to identify you directly.
What personal data we collect and why
We try and limit any personal data we collect to a minimum and aim to only keep this information as long as we feel is necessary. There are some instances where we are legally obliged to keep your information for a determined period of time (for invoices as an example).
Examples of personal information we typically collect when we do work for you:

Company or place of business (if applicable)
Addresses (location for the work to be carried out or address for invoicing)
Telephone number (if you request us to call you)
Email addresses (if you request us to email you)
Examples of personal information we collect when you use our website:
Name (when either leaving a comment or using our contact form)
Email address (when either leaving a comment or using our contact form)
Any information you disclose in the form
When you visit our website, we don’t automatically enable Google Analytics (you have to opt in but we do really appreciate it when you do) and your IP is automatically anonymised, meaning it can’t be used to identify you.
How long do we retain your data?
If you leave a comment on our site, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve and follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

What rights do you have over your data?
You can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you at any time. This does not include any data that we are legally required to keep for legal or security purposes.
